Day 5: Reykjavik, Iceland. What to do when your flight lands at 7am an you can’t check in until 2pm? No matter you haven’t slept since Saturday night. After dropping my bag off at my hostel, I took a 3 hour wander around the tiny streets of Reykjavik. Surrounded by a bright blue sky sprinkled with what seemed like Pixar generated clouds and tiny, connected houses one nothing like the next. Apparently, no one here hits the streets until at least 9am on a Monday morning. Good for them… But what does it matter when the sun never sets? It’s my first Monday without a job since 2010 and this all feels so right.
